2020 Genesi

The Story

The volcanic soils, the sunlight and a continental climate characterized by very cold winters and scorching hot summers, punctuate the rhythms of the special Vulture region. A unique terroir in the Mediterranean sphere gives birth to unique wines, with strong mineral character and spicy touches.

Winemaking

Manual harvest takes place in the second half of October, followed by berry selection on the sorting table. After the removal from the stalks by crushing and destemming the vinification continue in small tanks. Maceration occurs under controlled temperature for 15/20 days. The wine is then aged in oak barrels and barriques for 24 months.

Tasting Notes

Dark, deep ruby colour with vivid purple reflection. Deep and rich aromas of bitter cherry, sweet spices and balsamic notes. Excellent structure, well balanced with soft tannins and good persistence.
