The Story

Château Lestrille has been an independent family run winerysince 1901. The Château is located at the northern point of theEntre-deux-Mers appellation in the small town of St. Germain duPuch between Libourne and Bordeaux. Following the philosophythat winemaking lies in the vineyard, sustainable grape growingpractices are employed. Talented winemaker Estelle Roumagecombines strict selection, with a tailor-made approach tovinification. Each parcel is vinified with minimal intervention torespect and optimise the characteristics of the vintage andterroir, with subtle oak ageing, creating charming wines with theutmost appeal. The estate is certified Haute ValeurEnvironmentale (HVE) Level 3.

Winemaking

The grapes were picked at optimum maturity and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged in a special selection of the estates finest French oak barrels. No detail was spared from vineyard to glass.

Tasting Notes

A rich, powerful wine with a beautiful balance between roasted aromas and intense black fruit flavours. Structured, it has velvety tannins and well-integrated oak, complemented by complex dark berry flavours, hints of cigar box and a smooth, elegant finish.
