The Place
Moillard-Grivot was founded in 1848 with the marriage between Symphorien Moillard and Marguerite Grivot, the owner of a wine estate. Moillard-Grivot is an iconic wine house in the Côte de Nuits.
Winemaking
The vines are rooted in calcareous clay soils. The traditional winemaking process begins with pneumatic pressing to remove the pure grape juice from the skins, followed by alcoholic fermentation under controlled temperatures. The Chardonnay reveals its full potential during the malolactic fermentation, which brings added complexity and roundness to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Lightly golden yellow in colour with emerald reflections. On the nose, a complex bouquet reveals floral and fruity notes, accented by hints of dried fruit. The palate is generous and round, with subtle mineral undertones. A lively finish adds a refreshing burst of energy.
