The Story

Stefano di Blasi and Federico Cerelli are the geniuses behind such iconic Italian gems as Solaia and Tignanello, and they have been producing stunning wines throughout Tuscany for almost 20 years. SerPrimo is a hidden treasure, but not for much longer as the accolades continue to pour in. This super-Tuscan, from high-elevation vineyards in the heart of Chianti is a reference-point for delicious Italian reds.

Winemaking

The hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested early to maintain the aromatic profile, followed by the remaining varieties. The wild fermentation occurs in small stainless tanks, including 30% which occurs under special pressurized tanks, Maceration occurs 10 days after fermentation followed by racking to cement tanks for malolactic fermentation. Then, 40% of the wine is placed in new French oak barrels to age for 6 months.
